Stop by for prayer on the last Saturday of the month from March through September from 10am until noon. We will have volunteers to direct traffic, others to pray with you and offer resources, and still others will gladly give you a cup of coffee for the road–all while you stay in your car. Take advantage of the opportunity to share your troubles and be encouraged in the name of Jesus.
David was chosen to be king of Israel while still a young man. God told Samuel, “I have found David the son of Jesse to be a man after my own heart, who will carry out all my will.” (Acts 13:22) David knew God’s plan for his life, and yet for many years he had to wait patiently for God to fulfill His promises. During that time, David wandered in the wilderness and even fled to Israel’s enemies to get away from Saul, the first king of Israel. David made some glaring mistakes in his life that God calls sin. Rather than wallow in his guilt and shame, though, David turned to God and sought forgiveness. He chose to praise God and remind himself of God’s goodness.
In Psalm 34:17-18 David writes, “The righteous cry out and the Lord hears and rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.”
Whether you feel close to God or don’t even know who He really is, we encourage you to come let us pray with you. We also hope you will visit us on Sundays at 10am for normal services with coffee fellowship beginning at 9:15am. You can call the church at (317) 839-6830 and leave a message any time you need prayer. May God bless you as you seek Him!
