As we reflect on 2023, we have so much to be thankful for. We’ve been able to serve our community in new ways, strengthen our faith and knowledge of God, and make new friends. In 2024, we welcome the opportunity to offer the hope found only in Jesus Christ to anyone who will listen. If you’re looking for a church to call home, we invite you to visit us this Sunday at 10am. We will be showing season 3 of The Chosen this Summer on Sundays at 6pm beginning July 6th through August 27th. This series follows Jesus’s life and ministry in a way that stays true to the message of the gospels while taking reasonable freedom to add details and back-story that are plausible and still honoring to the Word of God. We encourage everyone to read the real stories portrayed and rely on God’s Word as the sole source of truth while enjoying this show and the perspective it offers as motivation to pursue God’s Word even more.
The journey of grief is a painful process, and you do not need to walk it alone. Often it can take years to fully recover. The Church by the Side of the Road will host GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for those in the grieving process. The group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6-7:30pm for 13 weeks beginning April 13th. The participant workbook costs $20, which we ask participants to pay for, but scholarships are available to cover that cost upon request.
